The catwalk eliminates the need for personnel to manually handle tubulars by rolling and pulling up pipe. Its remote control design allows it to be operated from the rig floor assuring no personnel are in the danger area in pulling up and laying down pipe. The catwalk also eliminates the need for a laydown and pickup machine saving valuable time, and operator expense.
